SxSW - First Day
Well actually it was only a night, but we did plenty of stuff. My lovely calendar is scarcely being adhered to, but it's all good. I got into town around 9:30 PM, checked in and had to go to the Convention Center to pick up my wristband - thanks to Logan for all of the help in getting it.
I don't know about most people, and well, this was my first one and all, but getting the wristband placed on your arm is kind of momentous. Like, for a second the heavens opened up and I could hear the celestial choir singing. And then it was all over and I made my way over to 6th street. Heard some miscellaneous metal at a club called Spill and then I went to check out Quien es, Boom! They were good but not quite what I was expecting for some reason. The best part of the night was going to see Mogwai at Stubbs. That was pretty cool. I stayed for the whole show and was glad I did.
Sorry no links... again, rush rush! (I'm lucky to even have access to a computer - thank you Devon!) - Okay, maybe two links.
Today ... Spoon, Drop Trio, Wolfmother, Vallejo, Flogging Molly, Girls In Hawaii, Gomez, Earlimart, Grupo Fantasma (and many more) - psh! Yeah, let's see how many of those I make

You were nice enough to come to both of my shows in Austin last night. How in the world you saw me drop my stick only once is beyond me.
Stupid way too many beverages...

Yeah, dude, that was the stick-dropping night (I saw you and two other drummers drop their sticks). Well as often as you say it happens and I never notice it, I am amazed I even saw the one time!
...shot drinker!
=)

Adam!! Yes, that is where I went - if you'd stop getting drunk at work you'd remember me telling you so.
tee-hee-hee-hee - *smooches*
