Hasta La Vista TV, Hello Guitar Hero!!
I played Iron Man before I went to bed last night. How many of you can say the same, huh?
Greatest. Game. Ever.
Just LOOK at this list of songs you can play:
- Ace of Spades
- Bark at the Moon
- Cochise
- Cowboys From Hell
- Crossroads
- Fat Lip
- Frankenstein
- Godzilla
- Heart Full of Black
- Hey You
- Higher Ground
- I Love Rock and Roll
- I Wanna Be Sedated
- Infected
- Iron Man
- Killer Queen
- More Than A Feeling
- No One Knows
- Sharp Dressed Man
- Smoke on the Water
- Spanish Castle Magic
- Stellar
- Symphony of Destruction
- Take It Off
- Take Me Out
- Texas Flood
- Thunderkiss 65
- Unsung
- You Got Another Thing Comin
- Ziggy StThunderkissardust
Are you KIDDING ME???? Cowboys From Hell?? Unsung?? Smoke On The Water?? Oh geeez, ALL of them rule. Whoever came up with this game and this list of songs is my new most favoritest person on Earth.
And these are the real songs btw, by the original artists - makes me want to hook some kick-awesome speakers to the television. But now that I've spent all of my money on a guitar video game, I'll have to hold off on that.
I also finally canceled cable - which basically means that we have no need for our television anymore other than to have a place to watch DVDs. Oh, and play Guitar Hero. Cool!
I thought the kids might be a little freaked, but they seem completely fine and totally unaffected by it. Phew. I guess part of that could have to do with the fact that their father is Martin Tupper and they get to spend some time with him each week.

My step brother got this a few months back and was showing it to me. Wow, it is complicated and you'd think, me being a musician and all, I could pick it up fairly quickly. Uh, no.

Jeff, here's what I'm thinking ... I'm thinking that the only reason you think it is complicated is because you ARE a musician. That can be the only reason. This game is 7 million times easier than learning how to play a real guitar for those of us that are completely clueless in the ways of the music playing.
But see, that's okay, because anytime you want to jam out and play some killer tunes all you have to do is whip out the amp and plug in and start playing - you get to use actual strings! and you don't even need a tv! Lucky!

Yeah, lady fan the kids and I played that game in Best Buy at Christmas time. "I Wanna Be Sedated" was the tune that kept coming up. It is friggen hard!!! Playing a real guitar is much easier.
The good thing about not having cable is that "24" (or as I call it, "Crack TV" because it's so addictive) is on Fox. Whew!

Nuje - I've heard that you are a good guitar player.
I seriously can't even comprehend what makes this game seem hard to you guys, that is how much of a non-guitar player I am. I also play the guitar left handed for some reason, but I found out that they have a switch on the game for that, so I will be trying it that way soon. Yes!
I don't think we will be getting ANY channels after we get rid of the cable. I am not sure why, but before we got it hooked up when we first moved in we couldn not get a single channel to come in at all. But that's okay, we are not hooked to that nasty show anyway. Thank DoC for small miracles.
Now if you'll excuse me I have to go and release the Cintox. ::snort::
:)

No actual non-TV-watching-person would use a "Dream On" reference. Poser.
